New for 2014, points earned at all BEST Horse Shows from March through August, including the BEST Indoor Summer Classic, and the MHSA Under Cover Horse Show, count toward BEST Year End Awards!
Features 4-Rings of Classes!
Ring 1 Features MHSA "Regional" Rated Divisions and Medal Classes.
Back-to-Back One-Day horse shows allow you to earn 2 shows worth of points in 1 weekend!New for 2014, all BEST Horse Shows are now MHSA "Regional" Rated Shows. The MHSA Regional Program effectively replaces the past "Maryland Resident Award" and "Eastern Shore Award" Programs. MHSA "Regional" horse shows are "Non-USEF" rated shows held in Maryland. Entries at all MHSA "Regional" horse shows compete on the same point scale for year-end awards, and for qualifying for the new MHSA Regional Program Finals!
Ring 2 Features Unrated Hunter, Pleasure and Equitation Divisions and Classes.
Saturday's schedule offers mostly "Adult" and "Open" Divisions, as well as the Dover Adult Hunter Classic. New for 2014, the Dover Adult Hunter Classic has been expanded to include the 2'9" - 3' Hunters!
Sunday's schedule offers mostly "Junior" Divisions, with a few "Open" Divisions for riders af all ages. Sunday also features the Dover Junior Hunter Classic and the BEST/MSA Junior Equitation Medal qualifier class.
Ring 3 Features Jumper Divisions in the Covered Outdoor Ring.
The same Jumper Divisions are offered on Saturdays and Sundays.
Ring 4 Features "Beginner" and "Green" Divisions on Sundays.
This ring is smaller in size than the other show rings, and is more size appropriate for "Beginner" riders. Features classes from Lead-Line to Walk/Trot. There are no classes requiring a canter in this ring!
